The Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM) operates under a federal structure, overseen by the National Council, which includes Branch Chairmen and National Councillors from 55 branches and 19 chapters.
Each branch elects a Committee, composed of a Chairman, Vice Chairman, Honorary Secretary, Honorary Treasurer, Executive Committee Members, and National Council Members.
The institute is managed by the National Executive Committee (NEC), also known as National Office Bearers, consisting of the National President, Senior Vice President, National Secretary, Treasurer, and Regional Vice Presidents. The NEC is elected every two years by National Council Members, and the Immediate Past President automatically joins without election.
The National Council convenes quarterly to make significant decisions after thorough deliberation.
IIMM’s National Headquarters in Navi Mumbai houses the Education, Administration, and Accounts Wings, with an extension in New Delhi for improved coordination with regulatory bodies.
The institute publishes the monthly journal ‘Materials Management Review’ from its NHQ Delhi office, reaching out to its 9200 Individual Members and 125 Institutional Members. Additionally, IIMM has a Research Wing named “Centre for Research in Materials Management (CRIMM)” in collaboration with Techno India University in Kolkata.
